How you discharge your battery packs is as important as how you charge them.
Our 2-Stage Battery Pack Dischargers,
Auto-Cutoff Modules and Load Modules
are designed to extend the life of NiCd and NiMH battery packs by properly
conditioning the cells. This increases their performance and capacity and saves
you money by extending their life.
CamLight Systems' 2-Stage battery Pack Dischargers and Auto-Cutoff Modules
safely and accurately monitor your NiCd/NiMH and Lithium battery pack voltage
levels as they discharge and automatically disconnect the load when the selected
cutoff voltage has been reached. Our 2-Stage Dischargers ensure a more complete
discharge by automatically following up the high-current Stage-1 discharge by a
low-current Stage-2 discharge.
They're perfect for discharging NiCd/NiMH R/C battery packs before equalizing the
cells in a discharge tray or for helping to keep the NiCd/NiMH packs in your R/C
flyer, car or boat, robot, or robotic vehicle balanced and conditioned, maximizing
their performance. Our 2-Stage Dischargers and Auto-Cutoff Modules are also
perfect for testing your NiCD/NiMH and Lithium packs with a known load down to
the same cutoff voltage every time. This allows you to track the capacity of your
packs and to know exactly when your packs aren't giving you the performance
you need.
They use all solid-state circuitry (no relay contacts to arc or stick together),
don't need a power supply and they're ready to start discharging as soon as
you connect the battery pack.
Our Load Modules are used to increase the Stage-1 current level of our 2-Stage
Dischargers. This allows for quicker discharges and easy testing at higher current
levels.
